My utmost

Dennis and I are reading Oswald Chamber's "My Utmost for His Highest". It seems to be speaking to both of us and it's a great way for us to bond as a couple and for Dennis to get some "spiritual food" as I read it aloud in the car when we're driving him to work. I don't think I've told him yet how much I enjoy our time together like that. Anyway....yesterday's devotional really struck a cord with me and changed the way I think about all projects I feel God has asked me, or us, to take on. The gist of the devotional was that if God asks you to do something, "success" of the project may not be His desired outcome for it. I know that I've perceived success as the ultimate goal for anything He's asked of me to this point and God may just want us to be having the experience or learning that lesson or whatever else He has in mind. He is so good.
